GUIDE / BWR FIRST LOOP

Black Well Radio Beginner Guide

Do not chase the third segment first. Stabilize air, power, and route awareness before editing the tape.

Minor spoilers

This guide can affect the discovery experience. For a blind run, return to the game page and finish one playthrough first.

First objective

Start by reading the console and confirming what each resource means. Power lets systems run, Air keeps routes physically safe, Signal opens broadcast options, Composure protects you from obeying the wrong voice, and Tape Evidence decides whether final choices are informed.

The safest opening is console first, then either ventilation repair or power corridor work. Do not spend too long on the 103.7 channel before you have a way to recover composure.

Recommended opening

Inspect the console, check ventilation, replace the filter if Air is falling, then route power into either monitoring or archive work. If you pull the tape immediately, carry it to the archive instead of answering it from the chair.

A strong first loop reveals the Broadcast Console, Vent Fan, Power Corridor or Monitoring Room, and Tape Archive before the final fader appears. That gives you choices instead of a single desperate route.

How to avoid early failure

Treat Air and Composure as safety resources. Missing evidence can be repaired later, but a body without air or a mind taking orders from the tape will not solve the case.

If the Action Deck shows a disabled final route, read whether the blocker is evidence, signal, air, composure, a missing item, or route depth. That label tells you where to recover.
